Introducing our Helping Hands program! We are so pleased to announce this new endeavor that will assist with connecting the many special people in our Network Please consider coming to our Information Night on Wednesday, November 28th at 7:00 to learn how even the littlest effort can go a long way to helping other families in our community.

Come Ride the Wellness Wave on Saturday, February 2nd for a morning of information sharing, questions answered and connections to resources and referrals to support your moving towards a better, healthier lifestyle. Professionals will be here to speak on everything from Nutrition to Acupuncture to Exercise.

In addition to our website (www.avafn.org) that will still connect families to our programs and CALENDAR, click onto the new"BLOG" link for the latest FN news and events. Susan Somers has stepped up to the plate to offer the FN this "cutting edge" blog page. Along with this change comes a new email address, avafamilynet@yahoo.com. Lottery Registration
Enclosed in the newsletter is the registration form for our spring session. Please complete the form and return to AVAFN, 169 Pleasant St., Marlboro, MA 01752.
All registration forms must be completed in full and received no later than Friday, April 10th at 2pm to be entered into the lottery.
The lottery will be held on Monday, April 13th at 9am. Members of the Lottery Monitoring Committee will draw names randomly and families will be placed into one parent / child group or placed on a waitlist.
PLEASE REMEMBER what you choose for your first choice! Families will only receive a call if their first program choice is closed, or they are placed on a waitlist. Noting more than one choice will allow us to place you in another program if your first choice is closed. Please call 508-485-0085 with any questions!

WEATHER POLICY
When MARLBORO Public Schools are closed, playgroups and activities for that day will be cancelled. You can find out about school closings by watching any of the major networks in the morning or listening to WBZ radio.
In the event, that school is not cancelled and playgroups are running we ask that you use your best judgment. If you are not comfortable coming out in the weather please give us a quick ring to say you will be staying at home.
Should we have to make a decision to cancel an evening activity, we will call you.

HEALTH NOTE
Please be mindful that if your child has cold or flu-like symptoms, they may be contagious. If you’re not sure, feel free to call us and we’ll help you sort out what would be best for all.
Kindly respect the health of other children when deciding whether or not to have your children accompany you to the Family Network’s Play Space.
We require that your child be fever and diarrhea free for at least 24 hours before returning to play-group, attending an activity, or coming for child care.
